Disney's 'The Lion King Jr.' Set to Debut in Portland
Starting November 14, the Marshall High School Theater Department will present a live rendition of Disney's beloved animated classic, The Lion King Jr. This family-friendly musical adaptation condenses the iconic story into a 90-minute performance, featuring Simba's journey of self-discovery and leadership. Under the direction of Ms. Zena, the cast, including students portraying characters like Simba, Mufasa, and Scar, will bring the vibrant world of Prideland to life on stage. The production will showcase familiar songs from the original score, such as "Circle of Life" and "Hakuna Matata." Performances will take place on various evenings, with matinees on selected Saturdays. Tickets are priced at $10 for adults, $8 for high school students with ID, and $6 for children under 13.
